This summer sipper is a Thai inspired upgrade to your basic sour. The addition of the ginger Makrut syrup and lime coriander bitters make this easy to mix drink taste like you slaved all day.
2 oz light rum
1 oz lime juice
.5 oz ginger Makrut lime syrup*
4 dashes The Bitter Housewife Lime Coriander Bitters
Combine all ingredients in a rocks glass and stir to mix well. Add ice and garnish with a Makrut lime leaf.
* to make the ginger Makrut lime syrup simmer 6 Makrut lime leaves, ½ cup sliced ginger, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup water in a saucepan over medium low heat until all the sugar is dissolved, about 10 minutes. Take off the heat and let cool for about an hour. Then strain out ginger and lime leaves. Keep covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.
