There are so many ways to riff on a Manhattan. This particular version leans to the spicy, herbaceous side with lovely pop of bright cherry.
1 1/2 oz Old Overholt Rye
1 oz Cynar
1/2 oz Heering cherry liquor
4 dashes The Bitter Housewife Barrel Aged Bitters
Cocktail cherry to garnish
Add all ingredients except the cherry to a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir till well chilled. Strain into a coup or cocktail glass and garnish with a cherry.
