Originally created for good friend’s bridal shower cocktail, cardamom bitters has proven to be a flavor that works in so many cocktails and is unsurprisingly our most popular bitters.
Our Cardamom Bitters were originally created as part of a signature cocktail for a good friend’s bachelorette getaway. The drink was a hit, but I wasn’t sure what else I would use them for so I started playing around. It turns out cardamom goes with just about everything. I often call them duplicitous because they add a lovely depth to sweeter fruit-based drinks, but also blend right in with the smoky characteristics of an anejo tequila or scotch.
To some our Cardamom Bitters remind them of Christmas spice cookies, but others think of garam masala or lamb skewers. They are as much savory as they are sweet and that’s why they’re so fun.
Goes best with, well all spirits honestly, from gin and tequila to rum and bourbon, amaros even. Put it to the test and tell us what you think.
